Research on employee engagement post the Broadcom acquisition

We are collecting research data (quick and easy) on the effects of Broadcom acquisition on former CA Technology employees. We'd appreciate your reaction to the ten statements below. I talk of Broadcom to my friends as a great company to work for.

I work in support. There is not a tech support job on the planet that pays 300k/yr. You're on crack.

I'm the one that posted the original request for information and I'm sincerely doing research as part of a summer internship focused on studying employee engagement.

For which group? The Prince of Arizona? Not sharing any details? Will this be published somewhere?

I hope you can take a few minutes to help and submit answers to this simple and short questionnaire.

Asking for a survey in a middle of a transition period is suspicious. 3-5 questions are short. Not 10. You would have had better results with a surveymonkey or equivalent link. This is my last post on this topic.

Imagine earning twice that and having meaningful & current work. At least according to those that left. Broadcom in many cases is a career with one foot in the grave. Doing little work on a stale old product won’t be good once Broadcom tosses you to the street. Which you might be on the list. They know who hardly does any work.

I don't know why everyone hates on Broadcom. I make 150k/yr and hardly do any work. This job rules!

These questions read almost exactly as the yearly CA employee opinion survey. Summer internship. Yea right.

Broadcom is little like a college kid getting a job at UPS. Relative to the minimum wage gigs you’ve previously had, it’s certainly a step up financially, but the job is mind numbing. No one at Broadcom really cares about anything other than counting the days on their vesting schedule and jawing about when the next round of layoffs might happen.

You really need to have been brainwashed from how bad things were at CA to tolerate this existence. I’m happy that we are struggling mightily to fill open positions. People can and should do better than this clock punching waste of a career.

We know what you are doing with your leading questions, faux research, and Likert scales. Find another group to bother and leave this one.
