Thread regarding Ford layoffs

FCG's effected?

I imagine most/all FCG's are safe from these layoffs?

Ford screwed up in 2008-2009 and made a bad name for themselves by dumping the FCGs. Took some time to rebuild their reputation on campuses and attract some decent talent. As of now, I am sure they are all good, regardless of department.

In the past, they had to spread out by age to avoid age discrimination lawsuits, but doesn't seem to be that way now. However, the ones I've seen are all LL6+, so they'd generally be older anyway.

Apparently direction is that all of my org (everyone under the same VP) will know by the end of today, and all of PD will know by Friday.

Group meeting? Any mention of how long this would go on?

We just had our meeting, and I was told that all FCGs (in PD at least, but I think ALL) are safe.

They weren’t last time. No clue about now, but I knew FCGs who lost their jobs in 2008/9.
