As this horrible day is passing by I can’t seem to figure out where layoffs took place the most and what employees were targeted the most. To be honest, the posting on this board didn’t help me either. Lot of general talk, a lot of opinions, theories, but very little from people reporting about the layoffs. Maybe I’m missing something that others consider to be known today. Where did the layoffs take place the most?

I never liked that stupid open concept at TCO. Its the one thing I will not miss at all after being canned today.
Lots of contact from folks in TCO today. Sounds like the open office floor plan allowed everyone to watch the bloodletting over there.
It's simple...they assume folks won't want to risk their pension by suing for age discrimination...expecting most to just sign the severance agreement.
I guess they probably can't block the pension if you sue, but most probably don't want to go through the hassle, and wait for lawyers to carry out the process.
-lnk what did you want us to do. Wail and cry so that you would notice? Yes there were a number of people let go at Itek today, they probably had enough class and consideration not to disrupt your workday. Jeez let us handle our lay-off with dignity
Personally know 16 IT LL6 released today. All 55 and older. Men and women. All with pension. It is most curious that the 60+ crowd without a pension were not released. It is also most curious that the slackers and sycophants were not released.
I fail to see how this is a smart reDesign.
I was in itek and let go today. I personally know about 10 other people who were let go. All were LL6s. It’s hard to know how they “picked” the people who were let go. All were very well respected.
Many people in IT were let go today, including my boss. They are not waiting for June.
There were quite a few in IT management let go today. I am unsure of what the June impact will be, but it has already started.
Yes IT and HR will be in June.
iTek is IT. IT not until June other than FMCC those are done.
If there was anyone let go working at iTek today, they sure did a good job of hiding it.
