Agree 100% with @1vzu - I've been here for about 5 years (probably the best job in my 33 year long career):
my experience in Norton/consumer at the Culver has been positive
Agree with the second to last post. Most engineers are just amazing people, obviously there are few who slack and don't care about the work.
But, most of the upper management is useless, I am glad they will be thrown out. From CBU perspective, in all my years I rarely saw breakthrough innovation. I still remember when Fran mentioned that Norton core will be a billion dollar product, what a joke, still makes me smile. The upper management is so full of themselves, they need a heavy dose of reality.
It was not unethical until you showed up. Contemplate that.
I'm a longtime Symantec engineer and completely disagree. Experiences probably differ at different sites and in different teams, but my experience in Norton/consumer at the Culver has been positive. Lots of genuine, hard-working, ethical people. The company has had some unethical executives, but the engineers and (most) dev managers are great.
You will be more respected by leadership elsewhere. Cut your 'losses' and move on.
