Well maybe in your depo everyone knew what they were getting themselves into and knew what they were getting but based on some responses here seems like not all do.

So for the trillionth time now, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION. Who the hell are you to come on here saying that shops with a CBA don’t know how unions work? I know for a fact (not fiction which is what you spread) that every tech in the Freeport/Bethpage shop knew every single detail of negotiations & that our union rep was always in touch with us about what we wanted & did not want in our contract. You said in your id--tic post that our union rep should have a meeting with all of us to see what we as a whole want. Well let me be the first to tell you that there were about 30-40 meetings held over the course of about six months to hear from all employees of both shops. Present at these meetings were union reps, union presidents & union management. All employees were notified of each of the 30-40 meetings MULTIPLE TIMES & like I said before, we’re always made aware of what was going on in contract negotiations. Our contract was voted on & ratified with the approval of employees from both depots who knew exactly what was in our contract. Lastly, if your gonna criticize guys about not knowing anything about unions you better know who the hell your talking about, cause if you don’t, you should keep your ignorant mouth shut.

You guys preach WE NEED UNION! IT'S OUR TIME! and ALL this b---s--- but don't know anything about Unions.

Education:

Every Union has dedicated Rep who represents you on your behalf as a whole. He or she should have a meeting with all of you and ask what your demands are as a whole and you all agree on. They take those demands and go back to Altice and say this what they want, Altice will agree and sign or say No and Counter offer. The Rep that will come back and say Altice is purposing this, do you all accept? If not you counter back until it's "fair" for majority.

If you want changes, you tell the Rep and they will purpose to Altice and make an admendment to contract or agreement and both sign off.

If you never met your Rep, call Union Hall and arrange a sit down face to face meeting. Once date, time and place confirmed post in Lunch Room for others that want join in meeting. Mention will be regarding our contract/agreement.

Biggest is you all should have picked same Union being IBEW or CWA. Granted Brooklyn is exception as were Union before all you wanted.

Now you know! Now get to work!

ALL AT-WILL EMPLOYEES WILL SOON FEEL THE WRATH OF ALTICE

OUR MISSION WILL BE COMPLETE ONCE THERE ARE NO MORE IN-HOUSE TECHS ON THE PAYROLL

TRIED TO ADVISE PEOPLE TO TAKE ACTION BEFORE THEY DO BUT, THEY CHOSE TO TRUST THE VERY PEOPLE THAT WANT US GONE (SMH)

😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

Yes, and that issue was bought up. But in the rush of the unions, and eagerness of the techs, those concerns were pushed to the side. So you are now stuck with poor representation, and no strength in numbers. And just wait until we lose more guys with the newest VRP.

the biggest problem that all the shops have is that they have different contracts as well as different unions. For strength and solidarity you need to be one under one contract. Different contracts and different unions goes in the company’s favor and gives them more power.

Really? We’re going to worry about phone service being written into a contract? Let’s stick with the big issues. Security, pay, time off. And as far as the stewards are concerned, you got exactly who you voted for. So don’t be surprised when they let you down.
