Coatesville closing came as a complete shock to me, to be honest. I didn't see it coming. You can call me naive, but I didn't.
Which makes me wonder, what other locations Sikorsky (or Lockheed Martin - to be more precise) could be closing soon that I'm not seeing? Any ideas?
Production at the Florida facility will be shutdown. I havent heard anything from my relative at corporate about DFC but they also can expect layoffs.
I always hear rumors that Lockheed will eventually close Florida.
Coatesville remaining open will cause problems for the WPB facility. There is not enough "cash producing work" to keep all facilitys profitable.
