Well that's a loaded question. Was asked that recently and turned them down. Too many factors many of which they won't fix.

Counter offers are never a good idea. And whenever they ask< "what can we do to make you stay", they generally are looking for a non-cash option.
Nope no one gets offered money anymore to stay. That was in the past....ssnc is in charge now.. they dont care if you're leaving...one less head count. ..."do more for less"..."hangars".... new bill stone motto...enjoy....I'm glad I'm out...
The people who offers to stay are people with specialized skills that are difficult to replace. Like development, server admins, technical skills generally. Same people who got RSUs last year.
I call BS.....Quincy had two employees with both over 10 years walk at the end of June and neither had another job lined up. One was considering early retirement. Both were fed up like so many others and were taking the rest of the summer off to be with family. Neither mentioned being asked to reconsider.
Heh yup
They are actually asking this?
Dont expect to get any pay raise if you do try to leave. As they wont.
Anyone getting this question nowadays can pretty much write their own check; get you some golden handcuffs. They pretty much have to stop the bleeding at this point. When things stabilize and they can hire again, then you'd worry about getting cut, so not a long term strategy by any means. But yeah, it'd be nice to hear peoples stories :)
