Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Is this true?

It cost Boeing Millions to build each 737 MAX. They don't get paid until they make delivery to the customer. They can't sustain the current production rate or employment levels for much longer. Rumor has it that there will be an announcement of a rate reduction coming soon.

Can anybody confirm this rumor? Can we get more info on it?

If you are a non-union engineer anywhere in the company that is a grade 4, 5, or 6, I'd get your resume out. You will be the first targets.

@Exhourly

I don't think you understand the stock market loves downsizing. It rewards for this.

If you only knew.............
Boeing will keep things tight, keep the worker bees happy and not start layoffs .
If Boeing lays off workers the stock will go down they can’t let this happen so all future projects will be put on hold which includes the new unnamed Space plane, the 7k7 and even the 777X.
costs cutting is getting noticed there running out of $$$ and fast.
If a layoff hits your still going to get paid through unenjoyment 500-700 a week so hey if it hits enjoy the time off.
Boeing can’t let this happened it would lose even more $$$$$ creating a total chaos throughout the Boeing grid losing billions.

So basically you know nothing. You are speculating based on the facts at hand. You may be right, but have no more knowledge or insight than anyone else.
