Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Cub Scouts Running the Rusted Broken Down Aircraft Carrier

Corporate has no idea where they're headed or what they're doing:

Open positions

VP, Treasurer

Head of Technology (who is the next sacrificial lamb who leaves after getting paid a sh--load to give up in despair after a year or so?)

Head of Online Marketplace Business Development (because all the vendors fled, no one wants $49 minimum free shipping now that syw doesn't count towards the total, and third parties hahaha)

Head of Digital Marketing (because the v----na logo, and a social media presence that does nothing but advertise your empty unkempt stores, pathetic customer service because customers can't contact anyone who can resolve their issues after months of trying due to lack of personnel is just sadness), but hey, 300 bucks of merchandise you can sell on eBay for $300 of spend is awesome, if you could actually make money off it. (Magic 8 ball says no).

Senior Director of Compensation (because the people left have no idea how to cut commissions without getting Eddie invited to a Congressional hearing)

Senior Director of Analytics - Losing Billions of Dollars with all that SYW data after all this time, and still have no idea who Sears' customers are, what they're buying, what to buy, trends, how to maximize use of floor space, turn over inventory, or turn it into directed marketing campaigns that actually turn a profit. Moreover, how about tracking things like on time deliveries, customer hold times, call to final resolution times, call to refund times, average checkout times, and other things that lead to customer satisfaction? This should be the most basic of basics.

Director of Inventory Management - It sure would be nice to turn over inventory more than two or three times a year, wouldn't it? Maybe if we could use some of that great analytics data to buy products that customers sell, or hire business developers so we'd actually have product, or not have a--hole Eddie as owner/CEO who has ruined every vendor relationship so anyone who has heard of Sears refuses to do business.

Director of Financial Services - Credit Product, Because we need someone to rally everyone to shove Sears Cards down every members' throat

Director of Financial Services - Field Support, because 4 out of 5 registers are broken. Some stores don't even have working scanners! They use iPods to scan prices! Can you imagine?

Director of Production Logistics

Director of Marketing Planning for Grocery and Pharmacy, Gotta figure out what to do with all that space now that a lot of Kmarts don't have fridges or d--gs. Can't go one deep with totes and Smart Sense Cola on every shelf, right? Right? Riiiiight?

Director of Finance - Home Goods

Senior Financial Analyst, Home Appliances - Help help, we have no idea how to make money over white goods over the one product we still want to sell, and the mattress market is cratering.

Look at all these jobs that were open postings just two months ago that Eddie has given up on. If you still have a position, run run run now. It won't be around for much longer.

NO Cub Scouts here. Just id--ts running store ops, inventory and the BU's.

(BTW, Ms. inventory, you're too old to sleep your way back the top in your next company)

They would be better off with cub scouts, at least they have some morals, Hoffman is 0/4 in the scout motto.

To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight

And if it were even possible to find people stupid enough to take these positions it would bankrupt the NewCo to issue them their first paychecks

Anyone with skills and business acumen are probably not going to work for Sears/Transform.
