That a Broadcom buyout of Symantec does not take place. 30 percent of the firm will be let go day one and another 30 percent will be put on transition to be let go in 3-9 months. All new development will be put on hold and existing customers will be squeezed for five years of revenue. The unfortunate Thanos snap survivors will be handcuffed working for a Chinese conglomerate by four years of stock options.

The new and old gods ended the deal. Hallelujah! Witness the power of prayer!
I’m laughing about this. I was riffed in April with a great package! Y’all be lucky if you get sc-aps.
Lol so much vitriol! There has not been any talent at Symantec for decades, nothing but washed up layers of dead wood piled on dead wood, over paid actors and clowns of a product sh--show. It's long past due that Symantec fizzle out. Just hope folks find better working conditions elsewhere.
All the talk of deadwood reminds me of how many people who thought their sh-- didn’t stink when I worked at Symantec. They were usually the ones with all the “good ideas”.
It’s 7 years of RSUs. It’s the Wild West, moves fast, super frugal but Broadcom knows how to run a business. Development won’t stop, it will evolve and improve with existing profitable solutions.
To the comment 2 hours ago (Anon) about Norton and dead wood, Otters collect deadwood and build dams so water does not flow. Norton collects deadwood to make sure new ideas never flow and become more deadwood.
Oh yes, "handcuffed" to stock options. Free me from this fate.
If only there were other options, oh wait, people can just leave on their own if they hate it so much.
Hahahah.. The dead wood at Norton needs to be cleaned up. So many slackers, its a miracle that they have been able to keep a job this long.
Awesome thanks for asking. I’m actually at HCL- great company. You one of the Broadcom mainframe hotshots? So young and innovative...or maybe one of those Symantec sales reps pushing SEP 17 to Windows XP shops. I don’t think you work for Broadcom - the People’s Liberation Army doesn’t tolerate that type of disobedience.
