Furniture on the hit list with not hitting budget for many months
GTM is a winner!!
RIF will be throughout the company
Just curious -- what groups are being offered buyouts/sererance? Just sales (which seems to be the majority of posters on here) or other groups?
about 30% of you have been targeted for liberation.
and SP absolutely will not stop until you are gone.
Does it surprise you that Staples and WB Mason are doing the same exact thing. Voluntary Severance, layoffs, pay cuts, anything to cut costs.
does anyone have thoughts on the end game here? I hope we all agree that it is not part of a plan to "turn" Staples around. (unless you use screw as a definition of turn?) So how will this benefit SP?
RIF started. I suspect they will continue all summer. Everyone is already looking. I can't wait to get out of here. Management already getting ugly and trying to drive folks out. really toxic enviroment.
What departments have you heard of so far? Tech? Furn?
SBA employees being offered buy outs.... this is going to get REAL UGLY this time.
These "buy outs" are essentially severance packages based on 3-4 months of income.
Pay cuts have been announced to SBA employees. Buy outs are a quick way to remove employees as quietly as possible.
If you don't except the buy out, you will have very limited time before you are shown the door.
It is Sycamore - Staples way of avoiding potential lawsuits.
