Wasn't he under investigation for mistreatment of employees and ethics and labor issues? Also heard he brought in some people as clueless as himself and some key projects are complete disasters. Anyone have insight into this?

I would respect the fact he's evil and a nasty SOB if he was good, was a great leader and actually delivered something. He's a mo–n (really is) and has not actually done ANYTHING except damage this company ruin careers of some really good people and they let him continue doing this type of damage. The scary thing is other "leaders" in the company that have been brought in are just as bad in all of these areas.

He's put the fear of G0d into "leadership" that if he leaves things will not be delivered (flaw with that is nothing is being delivered anyway) and they are buying into that. Rumor is he has also got a ridiculous laundry list of demands for him to go away. Rumor is he is also getting territorial with the other non-delivery "leader" running software. He wants him to report into him so i hear...maybe he should. Very close race as to which one is worse.

tvkz - nope the incompetent A– is still there causing as much chaos as ever and not delivering anything. No progress on any of the key projects (actually pushed off even further). Now there's a turf war between this J/O and the software group that's just as incompetent and cant deliver a damn thing either. Futures so bright i have to wear sunglasses to Austin everyday.
So is the “CTO” gone yet? Doesn’t seem like a fractured org with dueling leadership will be able to accomplish much. Someone needs to make a decision, communicate it and move on.
HR, Legal and "leadership" with no one with enough b@11s to act on the findings. Who else would be investigating? BTW - seems to be validated by a ton of people on this board. HR troll much? Also seems to be a p1ssing match between the clueless software guys and ETs group of misfits. We are all going to enjoy how that plays out.
Who is investigating Edger? HR? Management? Robert Mueller? What is he being investigated for? Lot's of barbs being thrown on this board with no substantiated facts. Lot's of opinion with no facts.

I don't like him. I agree that he is a bully and a narcissist. That's my opinion.
I have not had to deal with guy personally but from everything that I have heard about him, I can't believe that Nefkens (or whoever he reports to) has allowed him to stay around this long. I work in sales and am constantly having to explain to my customers why we are even worse now than when we were part of honeywell when it comes to delivering products. As a sales organization we all drank the Koolaid after the spin about how much better off we were because we could be more focused and deliver faster yada yada yada. Many of my customers have become good friends and are now calling BS on that. I have had several really good customers/friends tell me that they now have no other choice but to try some of our competitors products because they are ahead of us in technology. I've been around for a long time and seen some good times and bad, but this is as bad as I have seen it.
fcct and freo...good post worst person ive ever worked under in my career and a true career / company k–ler. Sony and Dell we smart enough to get him out before too much damage was caused where resideo and honeywell werent smart enough.
The scary thing is there is new "leadership" in place with the potential (and it has already started) to cause as much if not more damage to the company and careers.....truly sad.
He is the reason I left as well, not the spin. I had enough backbone not to want to spend the rest of my career placating the ego of a technically illiterate narcissist
Happy to see that other people see what I saw. He is the primary reason that I (and a lot of others) left the company. It wasn’t because of the “spin” it was because of HIM! Resideo Leadership needs to acknowledge that he is toxic and find a way to deal with it or accept that more resignations will come.
cukd - excellent post and agree. You also need to ask why the upper "leadership" let this happen, let him do this and did nothing to assess or try to stop what he was doing. This "investigation" has been going on for months and by the way not the first "investigation" for him. So he causes damage and they drag their feet on an investigation and allow him to cause more damage while they do their joke of an investigation. Someone mentioned on this board about his previous jobs. Find out why he was walked out of Sony....find out why he was walked out of Dell. Its very interesting. Maybe we can create a Slack channel....
I totally agree. He fired all good people that had excellent knowledge. What a shame. Same by firing French R&D... the best Resideo had... what a shame...
But if he fired all excellent people... what does it mean? That means that remaining people are not very good... that is what all remaining people should understand... if they are smart and humble enough to think about it (I’m personally sure that will not make this investigation)

Now we have him and his cronies, clueless h1B "developers" and now a new, just as clueless team that thinks they are going to save the world by using Slack. Maybe they can collaborate real time on why they cant develop a product that actually works or that people want to buy.
Guy is not only destroyed the engineering capabilities but pushed for incompetent H1B learning on the job -to replace people with years of experience. Now that all the people that k ew how to get things done are gone... you can’t even fire those H1B as nobody is left “homes”
The worst are the people that were in Melville and GV and just let their own staff get screwed by him and H1B because they valued their pension more than the company. Watch how fast they change sides again!

That's the least of the issue. Likes to also threaten about age as well.... Even worse hes completely incompetent and a primary reason this company is in the shape its in. Some really bad tech misses about to be announced. I have heard hes been under internal investigation for months now and nothing gets done.
yup..still here and still a disaster.
On the upside, look for bad numbers for the quarter and look out below for the stock. The result will be more people cuts so many of us will be put out of misery sooner than planned.
