Betcha they're using the bonus savings to fund their stock buyback program to keep the stock price from collapsing so C Suite can cash out on the original price of their RSUs.

The problem with Cisco is that it's so big and bureaucratic. They pay waaay better than Juniper though. Juniper doesn't have the financial firepower to compete any more.

You have really great people at Cisco but also can run into toxicity if you land in the wrong group or a group that's on it's way out with the yearly axe riffs Cisco always uses (stay away from their Data Center jobs–big layoffs incoming).

By and large though, the overall Cisco employee quality is substantially superior to Juniper's (but that really might not be saying much).

There are plenty of forced and involantary attritions still going on - mostly through fakePIPs. Most of them apply at Cisco, often as a backup, but many end up getting hired (back) there.
A recruiter at Cisco pointed out how JD's friends, automatically end up working for his org, but many others have joined the rest of Cisco as well. Some, for a second time.
Bottom line: layoffs continue. It may not be apparent, but they keep happening.

No Fall layoffs feels impossible. I truly wouldn't count on it.

Even if it is miraculously true, Juniper did so many stealth firings and advertised firings in the firat half of the year that they covered the whole year "quota" anyways!

No layoffs for this fall. I understand why you might be worried given the track record but we are good for the fall. I think leadership is finally understanding how this does not help juniper success

Today's earnings report lead to more layoffs?

What is the huge bonus to be given after August?

A permanent vacation!

Revenue is down. Product and solutions portfolios are cråp. The mist technology integration is dicey at best. Future is questionable.

Wouldn't a public record help expose these stealth layoffs, unless a whistleblower reports it directly to the US and the individual State, Department(s) of Labor?

I facepalm at you guys who ACTUALLY think you're influencing STOPPING stealth layoffs by reporting it here.

Juniper will continue to do stealth and mass layoffs as they please. The only modus operandi they have is to stay just under the radar of triggering California's WARN. That's it.

History has proven that they will continue to do layoffs in Sept/Oct.

And as far as stealth layoffs are concerned, this board hasn't heard of an individual report only in they last 30+ days. There have been MONTHLY stealths for MOST of this year and just b/c someone doesn't come here report their layoff doesn't mean it didn't happen in the last 30 days either.

I sincerely doubt they care if we document the stealths here - they shamelessly do them! Looking at the Juniper lay-off trends , end of September or mid October would probably be the next round. This is pure speculation,I haven’t heard anything.

If we document the stealth layoffs here, it will be difficult for the company and the leadership team to continue doing it under the radar.

All this underhanded activities will eventually catch up with them all.
