"Foreseeable", aka just long enough for COC to lapse.
Oxy will keep Greenway, the Woodlands and the Denver office for the foreseeable future. Notified by official email this morning.
The last reply gives me a lot of hope as an APC person whose been on a terrible roller coaster ride since the downturn...
Greenway is a fantastic location and many of the floors have been updated. There are a few left that need to be updated and they will do that. You will love Oxy, people are smart and result oriented but down to earth. There are no elitist executives and it is a culture of respect and inclusiveness. I have worked for 35 years at 3 oil and gas companies with Market Cap between 100 B to 20 B and Oxy and is by far the best place I have ever worked.
This management team cares about the people and the company.
no one said it was 55+
Thanks for the thorough answer from the one person before! It is appreciated.
F--- greenway. That sounds terrible.
1) Oxy will sell their Midland office and merge their production folks with APC’s in the new APC office in Midland
2) Oxy intends to keep APC’s Woodlands Offices for GOM, misc. and the Denver office for DJ/Powder
3) Oxy will keep their Greenway Plaza offices and not move to the COP campus to save $. Will likely sell that campus. They will likely add a building at Greenway, or cube up existing buildings. This is where all Permian petrotechs would be
4) Oxy employees will be offered early retirement (55+) on July 1; APC 55+ will be offered an early retirement package once the deal closes
