Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Sit tight

It is what it is! We can’t control the layoffs. I chose to stay positive and continue to do my best! If it happens, I will deal with it then. I won’t live in fear.

Here’s a novel thought about positivity. Have you ever seen a good layoff? Allscripts has a lot of “haters”. They come back to work for other healthcare providers/customers that then want to dump Allscripts. So... What if Allscripts did a decent job of outplacement? Guess that’s just for the Sr Management and pals of customers before they found out about c-appy service and software. Any thoughts or stories about the endless cycle it perpetuates?

What division of Allscripts are you referring to?

Advise to anyone sitting tight.

Self martyring is not a job. Employees in any company have to follow natures instincts and run for the hills when an approaching tsunami is evident. It is much better to hear and read about the carnage then experience it daily. Right now only managers can sit tight eventually the low level managers will be clipped too.. Just natures way.. the smallest viruses survive the larger more advanced life forms disappear.

Good advice, no matter where you're working. Do your best, be a good co-worker, and keep networking.
