Get out of retail. It's done.

This isn't meant to be a one size fits all solution for everybody, but there are options for you. The trick is, you need to find some kind of skill that offeres a semblence of job security; something relatively easy to get affordable training in. Here's a short list of career moves 95 - plus % of Walmart workers can feasibly make:

" CDL truck driving

HVAC technician
Certified Nursing Assistant
Welding / steam fitting
Basic data entry

All of these fields are hiring hard right now, and there is A LOT of government $$ programs to help get you both training and job placement for them!

In virtually every town and city, there is access to career counselling for these or something better suited to you. You CAN win from this.

For some people it is all they have. We maybe on the cusp of retirement or have a disability that prevents us from working in fields or we just have a sense of pride in retail work

Why would they remove it - you are not breaking any rules

language is clean
you are not advertising
you are not trolling or trying to inflame a discussion
you are not using names or private info
you are not talking religion or politics

Now, they do say that 'excessive posting' is not allowed so, if you post the same message several times they will nuke all of them and will block your ip address.

other than that i think it's a very useful post and an excellent contribution to our discussion here

Doesn't matter if he/she does remove it. I'll be repeating this post occasionally, because I'm about helping people find solutions, not encouraging them to do nothing more than impotently complain and stew in their worries.
