People are not shopping in stores that much anymore. Everyone is buying on Amazon. Therefore you don't need as many employees, The writing is on the wall. GET OUT and find a different job. B–ching about the cuts is not going to help you. Your future is limited in a store.

They feel everyone is replaceable. Upper management talks behind the employees backs when they are the ones keeping it going. Not appreciated is how I feel. I dont like going to work. When you put in so many years to a place you think that would mean something but nooooo. Cheaper to find someone with no experience.

Less employees=Less payroll. It's all about the money. So many positions have been eliminated over the last few years. Who suffers? The SFL's, and very few team members, who have to do all and be all. At the end of the day, this company couldn't care less about their employees.

I don't know but I'm trying to look online to see what is going on with walgree s.I am a long time customer for 27 years because these workers make customers #1 but about a year ago I saw not as many workers and I wait in long lines quite often when I shop. I'm in there about twice a week for me an my family's scripts and I usually shop for a thing or two while I'm there. I see the manager being the cashier lots of times now.I first thought someone was calling in sick or quit but it's because theyre understaffed. I asked the manager(really kind gentleman) why not hire more people and he said walgreens sets the number of hours he gets to have people work. Often I see it's one worker alone vs. 10 customers at once. Its not just that we have to wait for help but it's pityful these nice workers are overworked. Ive known these people for a long time and their work ethic is still as great as ever. Maybe I could shop somewhere where customers don't have to wait AND where the manager and workers are treated right....

They make more profit if they have to pay less employees

Because upper management (Pessina in particular) is pathetic and they have no idea what they are doing.

Buying 50% of Rite Aids is a perfect example. More brick-and-mortar stores in this day and age?! Seriously?
