Was this one of several stores having the building "sold" but the store will remain in place?
Rumors or not, if the employees feel uncertain about their status, they should be looking for another job. Just like all the corporate people should have been doing while this buyout was happening.

With the given amount of uncertainty, misinterpreted information and general lack of information,. I am not in the least amount surprised that rumors such as this abound.
If there are and that is a big if, any closing of stores in the future, it would not surprise a lot of us.
When one firm PURCHASES,BUyS a competitive firm changes are innement up to and including layoffs and reduction of exposure.
I do not believe you have anything to worry about at this time.

I would like to remind the readers of this site rumors of store closing have been posted seven times I know of on this site ( I am assuming from the Same individual ) and every-time they were wrong. So I would not put any value at all on the rumors from this guy. I like shopping at bass pro. I have found the employees to be so friendly and helpful. I like so many people I know believe the success of bass pro is so important to the future of Sidney Nebraska. I would think if this guy post enough negative rumors the odds of averages are in will be right once. U
