First of all, if you got laid off, im truly sorry for what you’re being forced to go through. The way that West is sneaking around and blind-siding us all with these firings is gross and unethical, although unsurprising given how we all know this company operates, and we all know how deeply unstable the company is at this point. I’m hoping that some people who were lay-off victims yesterday or earlier might anonymously share the specifics of their severance packages to help set expectations for those of us left whose days are obviously numbered. How much pay is guaranteed, when does health insurance coverage run out, how much of the accrued PTO/GTO/sick time gets paid out, etc?

I was laid off earlier this year. my severance package was 6 weeks (i believe) of pay plus my pto balance. they also said they wouldn't fight unemployment claims but they did anyways. My advise is to file for unemployment ASAP instead of waiting like I did. My benefits expired at the end of the month (i was laid off around the middle of the month)
Got 60 days notice. Sev pay and pto pay. No vacation or anything.
Separation date was yesterday plus two weeks so July 3rd. So medical coverage runs out end of July. Severance pay was about 2 weeks per year but don't know if that is capped at a certain level since I only had five years.
Option to re-hire if there are openings and you want to. Not sure who would want to go back. Will not fight unemployment claims.
