Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Sunnyvale land sale

A real estate friend my mine said there’s movement to sell the land Juniper holds in Sunnyvale. The empty land around headquarters.

I’m sure it’s worth a fortune but I wonder why?? Desperate to raise cash? Remember when we were going to have a dozen buildings and a hotel on our property? Those days are long gone.

There is still some undeveloped patches of land at the main campus. Juniper might as well sell them for cash.

@12xjj, building 5 is leased. How could they sell it when it’s leased?

Juniper should consider selling following, not the land.

  1. Sell itself someone who buys $40/share.

  2. Sell contrail as it is internal considered as $1B/anum.

  3. Should spinoff Security (SPC3 card didn't offer any turn around)

Lay off CDO, EVP, SVP and most of the VPs lying there and doing nothing (Ofcourse, they tell that they are working hard, but they are not working smart at all).

That is good for share holders.

In a few years time, Juniper will need to downscale away to an office park in Reno after all the layoffs.

Google can then sweep up to purchase the land.

Don't laugh. It is definitely a possibility.

Google needs the land and they have loaned a CTO that's running everything into the ground. It won't be long before we could be had for a song.

LOL at Google acquiring Juniper for the land. Do you think they're that bloody unforgiveably stupid in doing business? LOL.

Not even 5th rate Ericsson wanted to touch Juniper a couple of years back (if you believe those Wall St. rumors, which sent the stock up for a few hrs. before falling down hard again).

Google will eventually acquire juniper, just to get the land. What happens to the prime land after that is clear, what happens to the people is not.

Heard some of the conference rooms in Westford were on AirBnB. Need a few bucks to hit estimates this quarter.

Bay Area real estate might be at the top of the current boom cycle, so might be a good idea to cash out at the peak. Juniper will never need more than the 2 buildings it has in the Sunnyvale campus.
