@ZEEY7rT-eug-numbers never lie. Yes, severance is paid if there is no termination for low productivity or other issues already addressed, such as excessive absenteeism, falsifying timesheets (if clock-punchers) or violating code of conduct. ADP has a conscious HR Department and values the dignity of ADP’s layoff and termination processes.

They are aware of the nuisances within the company, to make the necessary termination decisions and limit their severance payouts. Those who deserve it will receive it. Those who are otherwise not eligible will not.

I'm home-shored as is most of my team and a large percentage of my organization. There is no talk of layoffs although many would welcome it. (Please save the bashing. I'm not naive. I am simply answering the poster's question.)

What do you all think is considered "highly compensated"?

Most homeshored workers are being let go they are not offered a chance to work back in the office.

@ZEEY7rT-nme-Bummer. What’s your role and location? Was it an isolated layoff or team/center lay-off?

No. Fortunately, I have no upline management within my designated/nearest office. Makes work-life balance much better when you are trusted to be an adult and remain productive without the need of constant babysitting or coddling day after day.

I'm sorry, but if you are "highly compensated" and a remote employee, you have a double target on your back. I strongly suggest looking for new employment as soon as possible. Better to leave on your own terms rather than waiting to be let go. If you are let go, you may or may not get severance. You also stand a chance of being fired for "not being productive enough" so that ADP can save some money on severance costs.

Good luck. At least you may have time to prepare.

I live very close to a current ADP mega center but was hired 14 years ago as a homeshored employee. I have also worried about this. From the sound of the other posters here, its possible I could get laid off instead. I have been told by my boss that I am "highly compensated". Im guessing that means "over paid". Yikes!
