Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

I quit. You should do the same.

After KK and NK jumped I did some soul searching. What has this place become. It’s not the Juniper of yore. With BG here it seems RR and MJ just want to create Cisco 2 with a fraction of the resources. That’s a losing game. Juniper did best when we beat the competition on base principles, not copied their ideas.

So I’m out. Started at a new company two weeks ago. Maybe it’s the honeymoon. But I’m telling you there a lot to love about Silicon Valley. Please don’t waste your life and career at Juniper.

When everything goes contrail, and runs in a VM or a microservices, neither custom ASICs nor PFE (hardware) matters to Juniper. There is also ample evidence to indicate merchant silicon will replace entire product lines, so all this reshuffling is in favor of supporting the big push to software and away from custom ASICs.

I left six weeks ago. Totally agree!! Life outsid juniper is a breath of fresh air. RR please do something. I loved Juniper and the company’s mission. But it’s drowning. BK was a bad hire. Doesn’t know sh*t about networks and customers call him the “13 year old boy”. Clean this mess up.

I agree, its so sad to see this great company going so wrong. Its not trying to be Cisco 2, if the outside knew how messed up we are at Juniper they would never worry about us as competitors. We suffer from an identity crisis every year, and never fix some of the most glaring issues in the field. I would never recommend anyone to join this company, its going backwards
