You employ lack luster individuals, with minimum to zero potential and an entitled attitude, you’re left with the 2018 line up. Not to mention California making it impossible to fire anybody. They have trimmed the fat, and can look towards the future. The days of making it to manager and kicking your feet up while everyone else had to suffer for their lack of incentive are OVER. Managers are only quitting because they will have to do their jobs. As far as empty shelves it’s the tariffs at the end of the day. Each store needs X number in weekly sales and are utilizing every tool at their disposal to hit the numbers and supply what’s still profitable. That means see ya to $50,000 salaried children and in with the adults. No more bs high end demos that clearly show the company plays cheerleader to who foots the bill. The shopping experience has been gone cost effective and just business transaction that show they care about making the consumer satisfied with the product not the experience is what will save this. This isn’t an after school special, dry those buffalo tears and realize that gaming nerds can’t be trusted to run and handle business. It’s like the epitome of weird science in there 🙄. You were whack in high school and every customer can smell the white knight on you. Hard work perseveres period.

The reason Fry's is going out of business is simple. They didn't adapt to the market fluctuations and change their way of business. I absolutely loved walking into a giant warehouse like store - like a tech home depot, and I could find just about anything tech related. Your mo–ns in office let BEZOs the most crooked business man on earth, set up shop in a foreign company - only then - to turn around and do business within our borders and the rest of the world. Did we fix the loophole that stops him from getting away with selling goods without being taxed? NOPE. WHY? cuz, yet again, the special interest groups paid off the likes of the ways and means, nancy ping pong eyeballs pelosi and the rest to not fix it. So the states enacted bills and legislation to at least charge him taxes that way. MEANWHILE, Bezos literally put every mom and pop store out of business. Granted, Amazon is great because it's an easy way to get your goods, but a lot of online stores / businesses can skip through the loopholes and make it difficult for a company like Fry's to succeed. Yes, they could cut salaries, yes, they could change things - but they didn't upgrade their business. NewEgg has been online for YEEAAARS, Fry's should have rebranded themselves - closed all but ONE store in each state (2 in states that are huge like california or Texas) and consolidate product, get rid of the entitled kids and keep just enough staff on full time. You're never going to keep good employees if you don't have people who WANT to work 40 hours. Those employees should get paid a little more and they'll stay loyal as long as there is incentives. I remember when I just enrolled in tech school, I wanted to land a gig there to surround myself with the latest hardware , tech trends, etc, but I'm glad I never applied. I went on and graduated, got many certs, my AA , never EVER did phone support (cuz I knew I was too dam good!) and now I'm making good flow in security. It's awesome when you don't stick around for stupid jobs like high school gigs.. It forces you to wake up, if you're smart enough, and get a degree in a field that makes money. And if you're not good enough for a university, go the tech/ trade school route. So many people have gone on to make great things of themselves with that route after finishing in a trade/tech school. It's quick / you learn in a focused way exactly what you need to know, and you'll be better off of it in the long run. Those id–ts who think that 15$ minimum wage is a good idea is living in a fantasy land because they believe what the libtards like pelosi or bernie - i've never worked a day in my life until 40+ turned socialist (who is a multi-millionaire) says, need to realize, you think that way because you're just too lazy to make something out of yourself. Don't get a degree in some useless career like non binary transgender relationships and wonder why you don't have a job and owe 200k. Stop taking selfies, get off instagram, stop believing in the man and believe in changing.
With the IT market the way it is if anyone was good enough to explain or work with the tech then they could make decent money outside Frys. Now you can only get stoned kids who can't even work fast food. They get in their 0-8 hours a week at minimum wage. The good "entitled" people you mention. They are already working for more than that and have left Frys in the rearview.
White Knight that's just typical Boomer BS. The store's not going under because they're paying store managers too much or they're hiring "entitled" entry-levels. They're going under because they didn't adapt to competition from online sales. Wasting money on building a PGA-level golf course for no reason didn't help either.

The problem isn't the staff at the store, it's the managements attitude towards the staff that has a negative impact. I know because I used to work there.
