Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

PIP is coming

The 6 month bridge is coming to end and all those that are below goal at the end of July will see the wrath of being put on a plan and shown the door without any severance. Good luck in surviving the next wave pressure from upper management

SG worked for Bain Capital, another PE company, prior to coming to Staples. I'm not naive enough not to think the SP takeover wasn't planned long ago. Her decision to move fleet to 3rd party was part of the expense reduction plan prior to SP taking over but I'm sure highly encouraged by them so they wouldn't have too much blood on their hands.

“Let’s all wear red on Fridays and create a playlist for Staples,” -SG. She should have been fired after she approved fleet to courier against the advice of her supply chain team. The lack of quality leadership was striking, and has led to the company being ravaged by SP. SP will extract every ounce of cash it can from Staples - SP’s first priority is not to Staples, it is to SP.
