Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Some good news for Boeing

Finally, some good news. I was thinking how many layoffs we'll be looking at after the Airbus news yesterday, but we seem to be in luck after all with the new 737 Max contract.

Hopefully, things are starting to look up.

If it WAS pilot error, then why did others have the same problem, and they should NOT have had the problem had Boink given them directions, and besides, there was too much up/down going on, and and and..whatever, it k–led a LOT of people....the fix will be in they will have to train, and hopefully one day again that plane will fly

Please, back off criticizing Boeing!!!!
The media’s having a circus with Boeing’s 737max which they don’t understand and are ignoring two words that contribute more to An aircraft going down than the actual failure or mishap of mechanical /electronic features of the aircraft and it’s
“PILOT ERROR”. Had the pilots been properly trained and knowledgable to handle the “NON NORMAL” situation which occurred, they would have known to turn the problem system OFF and leave the darn thing off. The height of stupidity is to keep doing the same thing the same way, over and over, expecting a different result.
Everything mechanical and/or electronic is subject to malfunctioning at some time and the pilots should “KNOW” how to correct the adverse situation. flight crews of today only want to have the planes fly themselves thru an auto setting, merely establishing a setpount, press a button to engage it, set back and allow the plane to fly itself. That’s not “FLYING” the aircraft rather it’s nothing more than operating a computer as in a “game” with no consequence of failing to make the proper moves to correct a non normal situation. Manually flying a plane is beyond their desire to do things with merely setting numbers into a computer. Sometimes one has to “TAKE CONTROL MANUALLY TO SAVE LIVES. proper training is the responsibility of each Airline. G. M. Doesn’t train people to drive their vehicles
As a pilot, i have the desire to kearn every possible thing that can happen during a flight. If aircrafts were totally operational with automatic settings, the airlines would NOT HAVE FLIGHT CREWS ON EACH FLIGHT. LEARN YOUR PLANE AND KNOW HOW TO HANDLE ADVERSE SITUATIONS . WE DON’T DO WHAT WE DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO.!!👍🇺🇸🙏🏿👍❤️
BE SMART............ learn your plane and how to handle emergencies !!!!!😜
If a system is bad, recognize it and work around it.
A final thought that makes us squirm a lot,
Just how many flight crew members beat the system while incapacitated from whatever😰, and climb aboard a plane loaded with a couple hundred souls and luckily fly to a destination without a malfunction. Yes, our God is watching over us.!!!!!!!!!!!
Learn, learn, learn and be safe.
Knowledge is power.!

No, it was good news, and support from customer is very critical. It was a breather for a day.

Stock prices come and go.

Things have not changed across the factory. Corners are still being cut, and quality/safety is not #1, as usual, the schedule is.

The company should practice what it preaches, and be more concerned with getting a handle on processes and quality.

The stock price will follow.

Bet you 10 bucks Boeing sold those planes under cost to build. Now watch later this year, Muilenburg will demand Mechanics and Engineers accept another benefit take-way or no raises this year.

True, needed

No it’s not a contract but it was enough to drive the stock up 25 bucks
