What is LS's goal?
What percentage will be offshore? 60%? 80%? 90%?
Why would people be laid off and then have replacements? Are these replacements offshore? I do know they will force you to train/hand-off your job/duties and they hold your severance over your head and threaten to withhold it if you don't do it.

Some people were asked to stay on till their replacement started. This is the case in IT Security. The VP was laid off but is staying till the end of the month.
Not rumors, some people were given last date in beginning of April, some had it end of May, some have it in June.
Unfortunately they don't let you pick calendar month of your liking. So, have a plan.
