Nobody is safe anymore indeed. I can tell you with 100% accuracy that upper mgmt has recently admitted that they have recently let go of people too fast without finding out if their offshore counterparts could do the job. Do you want to know how stupid the upper mgmt are in this company? When the topic of slowing down the layoffs was brought up (due to above) they said no keep going.
I could swear they are deliberately tanking this company to make if an attractive acquisition. It makes me wonder if they are hiding something that they want to be the acquiring companies problem in the future. There is no other reasonable explanation for the current strategy.
My boss talks a lot with counterparts at other companies and they are all in disbelief at State Street's current strategy. I can also tell you they are lying in wait to start picking up State Street's clients when the p--p eventually hits the fan.
