I had to laugh at the ambulance chaser comment. At last count, Allscripts has two large “ambulance chasing” firms investigating them along with a State AG’s grand jury. No wonder Allscripts needs a stable of attorneys to protect themselves from all the bad decisions their executives make.
It makes you wonder what else they are being investigated for.
regardless … Allscripts STILL on hook to assume ALLliabilities and pay the ALL fines.. So YES it is daming. The more telling thing to watch is just how many true practices came with the purchase. Recall just an email address was all that was needed to be a "client". Black is the new orange in real life...
What, some class-action ambulance chaser firm making noise about the Practice Fusion thing? That's not news or even "yuge". MDRX publicly acknowledged that the PF business unit was under investigation as part of their regular SEC filings, and that the "crimes" being investigated pre-date the acquisition. This is regular corporate law games.
