Yes...the Pulse. Scores were low, low, low. Did anyone talk about it? No, no, no.
Even funnier? The spin doctors had the audacity to actually try and say that the results were "in-line" with their comps. Which...when I looked...was clearly not the case. When the scores are hovering around the 40% favorable mark - here's a clue - that's not good. But at least there is consistency. Any opposing viewpoints regarding the direction the company is heading or the SRD plans, if they are not what Jimmy wants to hear, are quickly squashed.
I do have to say...at least the verbatims weren't censored. I was pretty highly critical (in other words honest) and I was able to find my comments in the online Pulse survey website.

1zgo nailed it. The mini pulse survey results were buried in a deep grave. Senior leadership was astonished that scores had dropped 20+ points in the few months since the full pulse survey. Some actually thought their approval rating would of improved since the full pulse survey. Instead their already dismal ratings declined 20+ points. So let’s all pretend that the mini pulse survey never happened, that will solve the problem.
Thanks for asking. If you want to understand how employees feel, go back to the Pulse survey that was conducted about 6 weeks ago. The results and verbatims were the most negative I can recall; even worse than the Nasser era. The negative results were across all organizations and all levels globally. In fact, the higher ranks in NA gave the lowest scores related to SRD. Presumably this group has the most insight into the plan. Usually, management encourages the results to be communicated throughout the organization - this time silence. No one wants to talk about the poor morale and lack of buy-in to the plan.
After months of asking the scope of the reductions, we get a letter today advising of the targets and timing. In past reductions, this type of transparency was provided up front. This time around, the stress and anxiety was allowed to fester to the point of paralysis.
Please see if you can find out why Joseph Hinrichs just purchased a large amount of Ford stock. Seems like he’s trying to get rich off the layoff news.

Thanks Phoebe, nice to know that someone in the media is covering the upcoming layoffs at Ford even before the events unfold.
Internal communication from CEO this morning (incidentally right after your article was published) announcing that we were reaching the final stage of "Smart Redesign" in NA and that most and confirming the layoff wave starts tomorrow (planned to conclude by Friday).
