It truly is family...we all have certain family members we don’t like, right? I’d axe some lazy cousins if I could.

In our location we have changed the "greatest assets" to "greatest asses" since first they tell us we will all lose our jobs, then they tell us we should be proud and continue to do our best until the ax falls down... and most of us do, following the carrot on a stick.

"We have moved away from past practices in some regions where team members who were separated had to leave immediately with their belongings, instead giving people the choice to stay for a few days to wrap up and say goodbye."

You couldn't be more correct and that's a true reflection on the current leadership from the very, very top on down through the next levels. Sorry, Bill, but this belies your "we think of our employees as family" approach. Saving money is important, but doing so at the cost of your greatest assets and their lives is just bad for business in the end. Think of all the people who have loyally bought Ford products over these many years who will not any longer. But, because of the new mindset, it doesn't matter anymore.....its just very sad.
