Is it true that separation packages will no longer be given? It feels like a RIF is in the works

Ask the new ceo when he comes to your facility - should really be the first question asked

Announce a change in the severence calculation? Read the handbook - severence is at the discretion of the company - there is no guaranteed severence

Also 2 years ago the guys that were rif’d in January were the first ones to only get a week after the company always gave 2 weeks ... must have been quite the shock

I believe that HR would have to announce a change in the severance calculation, before a change is implemented.... (just like they did when they ended unused vacation days rolling over to the new year). I’m not saying they won’t change in the future....

If severance packages get dropped, I think management would be quiet about it - they don't want a mass exodus. Only time will tell.
