Nardelli and Hackett do have a lot of similarities. Guys from outside the industry with a smartest guy in the room mentality and absolutely zero understanding of the complexity of the auto industry
Welcome to the Ford version of Chrysler's way of doing business. ...sad part is it gets worse.... a whole lot worse....watch the UAW March right in step when massive hourly cuts come....it won't be long now...Hackett sounds like another Bob Nardelli
Hackett axed many people at Steelcase, he's used to doing this sort of thing, perhaps it takes a special kind of person to do this to people's livelihoods. But lets not BS anybody, he really doesn't care unless he's the one getting axed. So don't let his somber act fool anyone. Maybe he can go out and find another train station out there in the area that Ford can spend millions and millions of dollars, get some great PR and goodwill from the press because of it and then we can celebrate with another round of cuts.
Hackett is an @$$. What BS. Cost cutting while he just got a huge raise for having no clue about how to run a company. Maybe if he would stop throwing money and buying new building to refurbish and wasting money on remodeling everything again then cost would not be so high. Or how about coming up with a good car design that would sell. Ford is a family company, really? He could care less about any of the employees whether going or staying.
