I’m over 50. I expect that I will have a long vacation this summer. How many others over 50 expect to get the Box?

I got canned in the third wave in March and I’m over 50.
It is not just those over 50 who are vulnerable, it is anyone hired under the pension and retiree health benefits plan.
To 54 and 20 years, yes, it would be cruel, but the company saves the social security supplement as well as medical insurance. Your reward is eliminating any dream of retirement before Medicare eligibility at 65. Yes, the company did do this to people in March.
I’m over 50 , so would not surprise me. However, I think the surprising thing to a lot of people will be to see quite a few 20, 30, and 40 somethings go, too. The most recent white collar seperatiobsv for GM were run that way, to avoid age discriminations issues with lawyers.
In talking to various colleagues in the 50+ range, we believe it's highly likely to get the box. I've read that Boston Consulting Group has engineered this "Smart Redesign", therefore having an excellent performance review year after year may not factor into this "new redesign". Surreal tonight knowing that tomorrow may be the last day of work. I've loved every minute. Can't complain. We are having all our meetings as if all is normal. Weird. Because by the time I get to my afternoon team meeting that I lead, some of the team, including me, simply might not be there.
54+. I think it would be cruel after working 20+ years to be fired a few months before early retirement.
I'm 60+ with not enough years in the bank to retire and I am expecting boxes. An H1B from infosys will be my replacement.
