People are leaving Black & Veatch on their own, and they are leaving in droves. Attrition is through the roof. Which really makes me wonder why do we even need layoffs? Just give it a few months, and whatever number you needed gone will be gone - and you save on severance.
And you leave those of us who actually want to work here alone and not having to worry about layoffs.
It's a win win.
Want to work there? The people leaving on their own can see what is going on and the good ones always leave first. The hanger-on's can't find anything else, but then those people are the least productive, and production is what they want, so eventually, you will get cut. They don't lay off by talent and capability; simply they look at OH, and if you are not on billable projects for a while you will be gone.
