They always hire a lot of people before firing another lot of people
I was RIFed last year. Had my ex-manager call and ask if I was interested in coming back. There's no way I'd even consider it.
I moved to work for a FAANG and am still bound by a 1 year reloc/bonus contract.
Those new positions will be taken by Indians anyway
