Thread regarding McDermott International Inc. layoffs

Is this an option?

Is reapplying for a job at McDermott an option? Asking for a former coworker who called to ask about an open position - which left me rather confused. Is that really an option? If it is, what's going to happen with his severance if he gets a job?

He was laid off about a year ago, can't remember the exact date.

Your friend signed something when he got his severance. Tell him to read it. He does read, right?

I believe he will forfeit his 52 weeks of severance he received under Plan B.

Condolences to your friend. Things must be bad.

You can certainly apply but it f they have already just died you as redundant it’s highly unlikely they would rehire you. Unless of course your British.

Always an option, though not a smart one if he knows the work climate already.

His severance is his.
