Sorry to inform you but it's all true...already happened/happening at my store. Personnel didnt even find out fron the store manager that one of their positions was going away. One of them stumbled on it on the wire! There will now be a "training coordinator". It will be a one man show. They have combined roles as well, putting more work on receiving and what's left of department managers. The associates that used to take care of site to store? Well that position has now been handed to receiving. They have also downsized the amount of totes that GM claims has as well. Department managers will now be responsible for handling their own claims. GM claims associates will now be in charge of the clearance aisle. CVP items will be put back in their original homes. If they are rearranging and downsizing areas? How much would you like to bet either positions are going away or there will be less hours given to those departments? Hours have already been cut. If cuts hit CO's and ASM's, what makes you think they won't be coming for you next? Wake up or stay asleep...the call is yours to make!

When u say s2s will be given to receiving, do you mean cap team or dsd?
SORRY.......I’m not sure you are awake. PC/TC have known about this since January. People Lead will replace PC/TC.
Since the New People Lead starts July 6th and we have until August 2nd to find a new position, are the People Lead and PC/TC all working together during the month of July? Or are the PC and TC done July 5th? Doesn’t make sense that Walmart would pay 3 people to do one job. And I certainly don’t want to train the newbie!
Lol the outcome will be the same regardless of what the position is called. Other positions within the store? Perhaps BUT taking into consideration that not every position will be the same pay grade as the associate may be used to? For SOME out there, they need every penny they are currently making. They can't afford a pay cut...SORRY
Why is the press not picking this up?
Both jobs, PC/TC end August 2nd. They have to apply for People Lead. People Lead starts July 2nd. We had a meeting January 31st. It was casually mentioned. Then February 1st it was on the Wire in a toolkit we were told to open. Problem was when they casually mentioned it on the 31st, they really failed to completely inform us what was going on.
It will be all good. It is like any other reorganization. If you do not get the new position, there is something out there to take until a better choice comes along. Adapt and evolve.
It's not a training coordinator the new position is called people lead (SORRY)
