Anadarko screwed up, screwed itself, and screwed everyone else who works in Colorado. Read SB 181, the permits will NOT come.
APC makes a ton of money in the DJ Bain. I’ve been with many different companies in my career. Never have drilled 100% NRI wells like APC does in the DJ. When you own the minerals and the leasehold it’s a tremendous advantage. It’s a valuable asset. The permits will come... If Chevron isn’t interest Someone else will be.
Anadarko incompetents blow up a house in Firestone, Colorado. The Colorado legislature enacts SB 181, which will make it very difficult for any operator to get a drilling permit in Colorado. The stocks of Colorado DJ Basin players tank, check out SRCI, BCEI, HPR, XOG, PDCE. DJ assets are no longer worth much. Anadarko properties in the DJ will be sold to some as-yet unknown bottom-feeder.
