Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Why Walmart is turning to robots and automation. The facts.

So, you've heard Walmart is bringing in robots and automation. Not only to the stores, but to distribution centers and other areas, too. Ever wonder why? Here's a list of reasons that explain everything:

1) Robots and automation do what you tell them to do.

2) Robots and automation don't call in sick, take PTO or simply don't show up.

3) Robots and automation don't need benefits.

4) Robots and automation are accurate, precise and exact.

5) Robots and automation don't need training once they are programmed.

6) Robots and automation don't whine, moan, grown or complain.

7) Robots and automation will work as long as you want them to without breaks or lunch.

8) Robots and automation don't need constant supervision.

And I could add a hundred more.

You may not agree, and that's fine. But these are the facts. None of this is going to change.

It's comical that people honestly think Walmart will be eliminating jobs with robots anytime soon. Sure they talk about it because that's what shareholders like to hear, but good luck implementing anything more than automatic floor scrubbers. Anyone whose worked for Walmart knows how incredibly inept the company is when it comes to technology. Have any of you tried to use Walmart one? Or onewire? Yea good luck with those people replacing robots...
