I'm wondering if job security will ever again be a thing at SAP? There were always some layoffs here, but what we have seen in the last month is in a league of its own.
I'm starting to think we've reached a point where we'll always have the proverbial ax hanging over our jobs from now on...
I think job security is a joke ...
Flushing out the older employees ... Shouldn't it start at the top itself ? SAP will probably achieve max savings if it does the fitness program / restructuring starting at the top instead of doing this on the employees who r affected for no fault of theirs, being made to pay for some decisions someone at the top took 😡😡
Job security will never exist at SAP .... There is no such thing as loyalty these days, don't kid yourself and stop drinking the blue kool-aid. At the end of the day, you are just a number and nothing more. When they want to get rid of you, they use meaningless terms such as "fitness program", "right sizing" to sugar coat what they are really doing. They will say to your face "It is nothing personal, it is just business ...". It is toxic environment running by unethical individuals.
You will never have job security in any US Corporation! SAP is not much different than other large companies. The only protection for SAP employees is in Germany where the Works Council protects most of their employees. However, this restructuring goes a lot deeper than bringing in new talent and flushing out the older workers. Bill is only focused on stock price so he will continue buying cloud companies since SAP got into the game far too late to compete. The only people who have true job security are those who are self employed. When you have your own business it is very hard work but it is 100% up to You to succeed without depending on others.

This type of environment can not be good for business. Everyone is out for themselves now to save their own skin.
