Got a job offer at Qualcomm, more precisely and engineer position at San Diego. The offer exceeds my current job in the financial sense and the job certainly presents a good challenge. On the other hand I’m getting a little worried when I hear the news about the FTC case and the Apple dispute. Was hoping to get some insider info or advice. Just how stable is Qualcomm?

If you will be joining as a engineer or senior engineer.. there is no need to think. For higher titles upward mobility will be tough. Paywise my 2 cents, compenation is fair to generous
This is a useless discussion. OP has a fake offer in his dreams.
If your coming form somewhere else you better factor in cost of living and ever growing cost of living here. Democrats will not rest until the air we breath is taxed daily. No joke. Nobody can argue against that reality we face, it costs a lot to live here and you better think about commute times when choosing where to live.
Go for it! Everybody makes one giant regrettable fukcing career mistake. Joining Qualcomm can be yours!
Good luck dumba$$
Thank you HR for the previous post. You must be a newbee :)
Dont listen to all the hype around layoffs here. If it's better than your current company, dont hesitate to join. It's a good stepping stone even if you decide to change after couple of years. Engineer level will not be impacted as company is top heavy and believe it or not has a shortage of young engineers.
The ones complaining here are mid level people who fancy working at FAANG and either can't get in or too tied to san diego to move.
It’s so awesome at Qualcomm, you definitely won’t regret signing up!
Best place in the whole world!
OP : You got an offer and you are mongering in layoff site. That's a bad start right there and height of your stupidity.
Go else where and seek the info. if you truly have that offer.
It is doing just fine. Great place to learn and live specially comapred to sh--hole bay area
