Operative word is "care." Yes there were some who cared about the students but that caring was more often than not slapped down by the suits.

If working in a stalag or a gulag is the best that many educators can do these days we are in big trouble. I don't know about the bad students, but way too many good students were left by the wayside simply because those suits along with many enabling staff members didn't care or have any idea that they were ruining lives aside from cashing the paycheck in many cases for supplemental income.

In all sincerity I did know some instructors that were great at what they did and were straight shooters but they didn't hold the purse strings and their goodness and advocacy were futile and seen as subversive by the sociopaths. Another opportunity missed. But purely transactional educational institutions are not in my mind what made this country as we used to say the envy of the world.

Anyone who cares about students would want all these schools closed ASAP so the students can apply for loan forgiveness and not pour good money after bad into a black hole..

The receiver is desperate to protect his reputation. To him, the IPs and such represent money that he can return to creditors. That is his only play. At this point, he does not care about students as his students are all gone.

1euv- Studio is trying to acquire the remains of the “ profitable” AI properties in Texas, Atlanta and Virginia Beach for nothing, then turn around and charge those schools high fees to outsource most if not all of what used to be in house amenities- Student Services, IT, Career Services, etc. it’s a scam that will likely come to a screeching halt in the next few weeks, leaving those leftover schools finally closed, in bankruptcy, and off the landscape- as should have been done months ago...

Can anyone explain to me how these IP addresses are worth 1 Million dollars? I am a former EDMC/DCEH employee following this story and I just don't get it. The online platform (if that's what they are fighting over) is a bit antiquated and has its own problems.

I don't get why Studio is even bothering fighting. Can anyone give me a technical breakdown of exactly what part of the dumpster fire they think is valuable?

Crazy how much money people will spend on ego. They are fighting literally over a garbage fire. Like any of these schools will have accreditation after all this? Studio, just let it go and let it go... You think the DOE had your back, lol. All DCEH throw that goes. Crooks screwing crooks, only in Trumpland.

I would love to know who these critical people are and why studio would want them considering the last year of great examples in execution. So glad to be out of this scam of a industry.

Sounds like Studio wants something for free. That's not right either. Let the whole damn mess go under so people can rest and as those people used to say to the students when the loans ran out kindly "just move on."

Everything the receiver has done has been egregious. Recently I requested information on back due paychecks, and was told I was bothering the receivers attorney as they had already sent out the most recent information. Sent to who? When? Other than the tacky form letter that was photocopied, I’ve gotten no information. Anyone else?

Studio informs the Court that it is doubtful – given the continuous egregious behavior of the Receiver – that Studio actually would be allowed to execute Studio’s Separation Plan with the Receiver in place. The Receiver’s behavior has only become more desperate and detrimental to the survival of South University and the Arts Institutes, as evidenced by the blatantly false assertions in his frivolous Emergency Motion of the Receiver for an Order Requiring Studio Enterprise Manager, LLC and John J. Altorelli to Show Cause Why They Should Not be Held in Contempt of this Court for their Violations of the injunctions Contained in the Amended Order Appointing Receiver, filed today (Docket No. 252). Consequently – and especially given the support of both the Arts Institutes and South University for Studio’s Separation Plan – Studio believes the best solution is for this Court to terminate the receivership at the earliest possible date, allowing Studio, the Arts Institutes, and South University to move forward with Studio’s Separation Plan without the interference of the Receiver.
