Two people in our team just confided to the rest of us that they are giving notice later today to our manager. Both were recruited by someone who left previously to join them at a financial firm. Selfishly all I can think of is how this is going to cripple the rest of the group having to pick up the pieces as both have some very client specific duties.

The place was good and now it’s ruined. Anyone trying to hang on, clue me in- why??!!
These things go in cycles and ssnc is doing everything by the playbook. Step 1; Cut too deep Step 2 the real talent leaves, Step 3 the business is moribound for a few years; zero or negative growth, terrible reputation makes it impossible to hire (they're seeing this already, not just in the US). Each year is a series of disasters that sees customers getting fed up and leaving.
Still to come is Step 4 Senior management realizes "oh sh-t" and they seek to stabilize the company by treating people humanely again, and paying market or better than market to get capable technical people on board again. This part isn't garunteed, but people are paying money for the software and services being offered. A person of Stones level of greed will want to keep that going.
People who stay around for this can be rewarded. in KC see YRC as an example, and Sprint as an endless cycle of this.
I think they call it desperate, no motivation.......Lazy!
Omg people still trying to hang onto something here? The place was good and now it’s ruined. Anyone trying to hang on, clue me in- why??!!
why not be grateful that you are now less likely to be laid off? Some of you people would complain if your ice cream was too cold.
