Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Was it really only 300 employees?

I've found a few articles that mention the number of people Pioneer Natural Resources laid off since last week, and they are all saying it was around 300 employees.

Am I the only one who thinks this number seems rather low?

It would be nice to know for sure, but I'm not sure there's a way to find out, is there?

Not sure where people are getting 700-800. The number is 1100-1200.

It’s because they want to retain the knowledge in Midland while LCO we can do without. The closer you are to the well head the safer.

The 300ish number is just the amount offered voluntary retirement. The news isn’t getting the real complete story. They need to cut closer to the 700-800 head count mentioned here below.

Gee I wonder.... maybe because too many people fall into the 55+ category in Midland

Why LCO @55. & Midland @62?

Midland and LCO packages had different age requirements. Age discrimination??? Lawyer up Midland.

Low 300’s offered voluntary packages. Unofficially they are looking for 700-800 heads total.
