How worried are you about layoffs at TR? How long have you been with the firm?
I joined Dec 2018 and I am s**t scared. It’s also hard to look for another job just after 5 months, hiring managers are judgemental. I selfishly wish TR doesn’t lay-off newly joined.
They get rid of veterans because they have accumulated more benefits.
They touch whoever they want. New hires tend to be safe for a short time because they wouldn't approve a posting and hire someone for an area they plan to gut. But plans change all the time, I know someone that was told they were picked for an internal position and within the day that position was cancelled.
I don’t believe they touch new hires. Veterans are usually picked first. No worries, you will be fine.
The re-org isn't going so great.
