I finally made the decision to leave CDK after several years of hoping things would get better and watching them get worse and worse.
I finally realized there is no future here - and I really hope everybody else realizes the same thing sooner rather than later.
This place is a dead end, career wise.
It’s kinda funny you all are angry about CDK... This has always been the retirement zone where engineers go to stagnate/die...
For those of us that were brought in to change this we got stomped on by Rajiv etc... either laid off or submitted to him and “leadership”
Anyways that didn’t work...
I truly hope my friends that are left picking up the pieces at CDK... are doing well!
Good question, let me ask what power do you need to bring change? History has taught has repeatedly that it's not the "power", it is willingness to stand up to make the change.
Dont get me wrong, I am not justifying past actions of CDK or previous leadership but all I am trying is to help move past it. Most of those leaders are gone or will be gone, it is time we stand up for change.
What power did this person have to “bring the change”? You’re implying a level of empowerment that simply isn’t there.
glad you left, instead of helping the situation you would have sat in here and cribbed...It is easy to give up and difficult to bring the change :(

Better to leave on your own terms than to be laid off.
I have yet to meet someone who, after the stress of switching jobs, wasn’t happier and didn’t wish they made the jump sooner. It’s hard, but it’s worth it.
