Thread regarding SAP layoffs

The layoffs are done, right?

At my US location we were hit pretty hard, but for some time now nothing is happening. Don’t want to sound naive put can we assume now that the layoffs are done, at least in the context of big organized waves? If that is not the case, I suppose a good question is has anybody heard what locations are next?

Things definitely haven't settled. Small locations in Europe are getting the boot, just noone is discussing it here.

Not over. Manager (vp) got laid off this last Friday. Now that we don’t have a manager, we might be next ....

US, Canada and UK layoffs will NOT be finalized until the Works Council approves the total VERP in EU. If they don’t get the target number they will circle back to NA and APJ and hit again since they have weaker labor laws. Word has in end of May will conclude this fitness program, =restructuring. Never ending.

Yes and no.

If your view is a short term one, things have settled and will be ok.

If your view is a mid to long term one, there will be cuts and reorgs galore. The company will continue to rapidly evolve and the current skills and capability mix will get disrupted - expect lots of realignments, retraining, horizontal moves and, unfortunately, layoffs/redundancies. If you are in the USA, we will as always have more layoffs if compared to other geographies.

So, the only thing that's constant is the change itself.

Have you reached out to your diligent HRBPs and asked for some updates?
