I've been gone from Walmart for a few years, but was there for a very long time. In the last 2-3 years, especially the last one, we were all caught up in a pressure-cooker environment as chaotic and insane as living in a house of alcoholics. Management would march around dept. to dept. like little Nazi battalions, with clip boards and pens, ceaselessly demanding to know 'Why isn't THIS done? And THIS done? And THIS...' And they absolutely weren't hearing anything about lack of staffing, inaccurate bin picks, too much inventory for one employee to handle alone, etc. It was all countered with 'get it done or get replaced!'
All the while, there would be those certain employees who would float threough their shifts, doing nothing, getting away with multiple call-offs, meal violations, disapearing for hours on end, etc. You know what you hear when you drag that up: 'Don't worry about them, this is about YOU!' It's really no wonder why we're hearing about more and more snap, crackle pop situations where employees are going off on management---sometimes violently. There's some pretty cool youtube vids featuring some wicked beat downs, .................. Not a day goes by I'm not STILL tickled pink at being g o n e.
.
Anyone else experiencing things like that?
