What are the duties for the Fresh Cap 1 Associates. My manager is trying to get me to cap the "Deli Production Area and Pick the merchandise. The fresh associates work in the produce side. We work in the meat dept, work the wet wall and produce. I work on the deli side, I do not work in the production side. But my manager is trying to get me to cap the area. Because the store manager wants it capped, and the associates and the dm is not during the job. My morning starts like this, cap my bins, run my picks. Then I start on the pallets and finish up with cvp. The deli production bins need attention. No labels. What should I do? Need a better understanding of Walmart

Your job description also includes cooking. So there is that.

What those last two said. And it's everywhere you go now: somebody quits or gets fired, or an outside contractor leaves, expect to be assigned their work. --As well as still being expected to do yours.
Nobody anywhere wants to pay anybody for anything. That's the new business model of the USA.
I worked for WM in the HO for 10 years. We had access to our job description with the duties and responsibilities. Every single one (job description) had a undefined clause reading (and I'm paraphrasing here) "whatever else your manager assigns to you."
I always joked that eventually we'll be cleaning the restrooms if the cleaning staff quit and our managers assigned us that task.
The short answer is you are required to do what you manager asks you to do even though it may or may not specifically be a fresh cap 1 task.
