It must be. I won a better job at a different company.

Is "winning behaviors" still a company-wide goal? :-P

It is very sad. I honestly don't care anymore. I have worked here for years and if I were to lose my job, I really wouldn't be that upset. As far as another live with John I don't see that happening anytime soon. How could you rally the troops that you screwed over? Management doesn't talk much and makes no effort to try to rally employees either. I definitely wouldn't go to bat for my management staff!

West changed their severance policy around the start of 2019 and didn't notify employees. The old policy was 2 weeks plus 1 week for each year of service. The policy is now that severance "may be provided at the discretion of the company." For those of us that have worked many years at West this is a significant change. I took some solace in knowing that if I got laid off I'd get paid 3 months of severance. There is no job security here, but instead of finding a new job, I've just stopped caring.

Every policy change made by Apollo has been negative for employees. Every month we lose employees with years of tenure. It seems to me that Apollo wants to create a toxic work environment to get people to quit. If people quit then they don't have to pay severance or unemployment!

Does anyone know if severance is being paid out? I've read through several of the postings here, but there hasn't been much mention whether or not those being let go are receiving severance.

Let's rally together on the next Live with John! And give him an earful on stripping our PTO. Seriously, he f---ed a lot of us when they did that, especially those who's anniversary date isn't until q3/q4

Good, very good... embrace the increased level of frugality by riding the job out till the end. Last person needs to take out the trash, flush the toilets, turn the lights off and lock the doors. After taking so much away from the very employees who built West, what’s next from this soul-s---ing employer...

I bailed out before the PTO disappeared so I could get it paid out. I found it funny the managers tried to tell us they would let us "borrow" time against future PTO, that's the biggest load of b---s--- i had ever heard.

The new “PTO” was pretty much the last straw for everyone. How people want to have a vacation, but don’t have enough hours to cover?

PSA to anyone stressing out about a false sense of a future at West, don't do it.

Your health is not worth their profits.

There are other companies out there that need people right now, why waste your talent on some place that would gladly boot you out the door to profit 50 cents. People are quitting like crazy for a reason, they don't want to end up with these types of problems.

If you have health issues because you stayed at this place, it's on you. And no, 'there aren't any other jobs in my tiny town' won't cut it here, when your life and health are on the line. You need to make a positive change for yourself, and then enjoy a wise decision later. Be well!

I don't know who writes this stuff, but Omaha has not been safe. They've walked several groups of people out over the last year and a half. One of the buildings got sold, and the West100 building is a ghost town. People have been quitting left and right. Who will they fire next, the empty cubes?

Sorry folks, but there are no longer "a lot of people" remaining at HQ. Just a few big fat empty buildings.

Layoffs are now always on the way if you work at West Corporation.

That is just the unfortunate new reality.

It doesn't matter whether it's April 3 or December 24.
